Parent Support Program

The Parent Support Program is designed to offer emotional support, education and intervention strategies to parents who are concerned about a son/daughter’s substance abuse. Concepts from the “Community Reinforcement and Family Training” (CRAFT) therapy model are interwoven throughout the program. Research supports better outcomes using this model compared to other approaches for motivating substance abusers (son/daughter) to access professional help. Smith, J. & Meyers, R. (2008). Motivating substance abusers to enter treatment: Working with family members. NY: Guilford Publications, Inc.

The Parent Support Program is held Tuesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:30 pm for eight weekly sessions. The cost is $300 per person/couple. The maximum number of participants is eight. Participants will be required to meet with Patricia prior to the start of the program for registration. If you would like to join us for the next program, please call Patricia at 226.755.2265. We look forward to sharing this experience with you!
